Putting Lives & Property in Danger

Fire Season is Upon US

California-Wildfires.jpg

“Dead standing trees ignite easier and burn hotter and faster, endangering everyone who lives near the dead zones. They also pose increased danger to firefighters who are called upon to respond to such fires."

Ancient Tree Stands Have a Fire Resiliency That Second Growth Stands Do Not

Rainbow Ridge is last remaining Un-touch, Un-logged Forest Exactly Because of the Steep Slopes that Exist There.

While every other “Ancient” Forest was logged Throughout Northern California, Rainbow Ridge Remained. Why? It was not logged because it was one of the most remote and difficult places to access for the logging companies. It is difficult to access because it is so steep and has such unstable slopes.

Say NO! to sediment in the Mattole, & Devastation caused by unstable slopes.

This Map Shows how the Mattole Ancient Forests have been desomated by logging. In 1988 there were less than 5% un touched complex habitat structure left. In 2019 their is even less remaining.
